Physiotherapist and football star Aaron was just 23 when he died from Meningitis in July.

His week-long battle with the brain virus touched the hearts and minds of people all across Ireland.

Three months on from his death his brothers Ronan and Coilin joined forces with Aaron’s friend Matthew Nelson to design a charity jersey in his name that they hope will help them smile again.

Ronan said: “Sales have been very good. I’m waiting on a report from the online sales but we’re estimating we’ve had over 300 cash orders and at least the same again online. I’d say roughly 700... it’d be unreal to reach the 1,000 mark, though it’s a big ask at this stage.

“We’ve also had people skipping the jerseys sales and heading straight to Aaron’s JustGiving page to donate there,” he added.

“Oonagh Bell also donated £1,000 to Meningitis Now from money raised at a Halloween Party on Saturday night.”

All proceeds from the jersey also will be going to charity Meningitis Now, which helped the Devlins in their time of need.
