ARGENTINE feature ‘The Secret in their Eyes’ won Best Foreign Film at the Oscar’s in 2010 and will be screened at the Magic Lantern Film Society tomorrow Thursday, June 7.

‘The Secret in their Eyes’ is an Argentinean drama which rises above its crime story framework to deliver a moving parable about the acceptance of love.

Benjamín Esposito is an astute investigator whose limited education means he never gets beyond a clerical position at the city’s criminal court.

In retirement, he looks back on a brutal rape and murder case which he hopes to finally make sense of and record as a novel. The secret that Esposito finally uncovers is shocking, tragic and ultimately uplifting.

The film commences at 7.30pm at the Nerve Centre on Magazine Street tomorrow. Admission is £4 at the door.
