OUR ‘band’ width is hurting business

Ballymoney is losing out on new business potential because of the poor broadband services in the Borough, a local councillor has claimed.

Alderman Bill Kennedy said the current broadband strength was affecting individuals and also impacting on existing business and business creation.

Now, the council want the public to take part in a survey prompted by the Government who are urging a response on the provision of basic and superfast broadband services.

The council are also concerned at the poor mobile phone network coverage in many rural parts of Ballymoney and have gained the support of local groups to help them in another survey.
