‘Outstanding’ results at Lisnagarvey HS

Lisnagarvey High school Principal Jim Sheerin praised the school’s ‘outstanding’ GCSE results.

“The Results this year at GCSE are outstanding,” he said.

“The school for the second successive year has produced a performance which puts it into the upper quartile of secondary schools in all Northern Ireland.

“Last year was the best results in the schools history at GCSE level and this year we have improved them further. 55% of our students achieved 5 or more GCSE grades at A-C including English and Maths and 88% of our students achieved 5 or more GCSE at A-C grades.

“I would like to thank all our staff and our parents who have supported our pupils and enabled these wonderful achievements.

“Our top performing students were Rachel Lancaster and Zoe McRoberts who achieved 11 awards including 5A, 4B and 2C grades and are returning to the school do their A levels. Both girls represent the spirit of the school for all of their efforts and determination to achieve.”
