“For the second year in a row our students have exceeded 90% A* - C grades in three or more subjects,” he said.

“The hard work and focus of our students should not be underestimated as these superb grades are recognition of two years of focussed study and endeavour.

”Overall our ‘A’ Level achievement was 100% A* - E.”

Mr Rafferty also acknowledged the fantastic teaching and learning provided by his staff who went out of their way to ensure all students achieved their potential.

Tribute was also paid to the parents and greater school community who never fail in their support of the school to strive for excellence in every form.

With these exceptional results, the vast majority of students intend to proceed to universities across Ireland and the UK, many studying in high demand courses such as Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary, Medical Research and Law.

“No doubt these young people have much to offer society in their career pathways in future years.”
