Over 100 take part in charity '˜Pieathlon'

Some 115 competitors lined out last Saturday for the charity '˜Pint and Pieathlon' in Whitehead.

The event saw runners don fancy dress to follow a four mile circuit around the area - with a pie and a pint to mark each mile.

A total of £2643 was raised for Whitehaven Respite Centre in the town, according to organiser, Noel McKee.
