Over £1,000 raised at MP’s annual sit out

Upper Bann MP David Simpson has spoken of the essential role Ceara Special School play in the area following his annual Christmas sit-out to raise funds for the school.

This years collection smashed the £1000 target and David Simpson was delighted with the good will of the people.

Commenting Mr Simpson said, “I want to thank everyone who donated so generously for Ceara Special School during this years collection. The school is the cornerstone of our community and my annual sit-out is an opportunity for local people to show their gratitude.

“We can underestimate the financial pressures that people are facing at this time of year, and the collection of over £1000 highlights the generosity of local people.

“I am confident that the money will be used in the best possible way to give the highest standard of care and support for the Ceara students.”
