PACT Streetbrief

You are invited to come along to raise any community safety, crime or disorder issues in your neighbourhood that are important to YOU.

This PACT Streetbrief is just one of a number of opportunities that the Safer Neighbourhood Team in your area will provide, on an ongoing basis, for you to voice your concerns.

CAUSEWAY Womens Aid are now taking registrations for courses in September in Ballycastle to help improve reading, writing and ICT skills with creche facillities provided.

Rota chemist

THE chemist on roat duty this Sunday in Ballycastle is Castle Pharmacy, 39 Castle Street, who will be on duty from 12noon to 1pm for urgent prescriptions.

Coffee morning

Ballymoney’s Mayor and Mayoress Councillor Ian Stevenson and Mrs Marian Stevenson, will host a coffee morning to raise funds for Cancer Relief on Friday, September 30th in the McKinley Room, Riada House.

Everyone is welcome to attend any time between 10.00am – 11.30am.

The Mayor and Mayoress are holding the Coffee Morning to join in Macmillan Cancer Relief’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning fundraising effort.

The Mayor explained: “This is a very good cause and one that I want to give support to. I would like to invite everyone to come along and join us in a cup of coffee to raise money for those in our community living with cancer.”

Craft bus trip

BALLINTOY Young at Heart Club have organised a bus trip to a creative craft show in the King’s Hall, Belfast on Thursday, October 13.

The bus leaves Ballintoy at 9am and anyone interested in going is asked to contact Margaret Reid on 028 207 62420 as tickets have to be booked.

The cost is £10 including bus trip and entry fee. Everyone welcome.

Coffee morning

THE annual coffee morning organised by Armoy woman, Margaret McCaughan, is taking place on Saturday, October 1 at St. Olcan’s Parish Centre in the village.

This annual event has raised thousands for Macmillan Cancer Care and Margaret is always grateful for the marvellous support she gets from the community.

In addition to having the opportunity to meet in pleasant surroundings, visitors can also purchase home made produce.

The event runs from 10.30 a.m. until noon and Margaret and her willing band of volunteers are hoping for a good turn out.
