District Judge, Mrs Bernie Kelly, said there was a racist element to the case.

But, she added, the defendant had no previous convictions and she could deal with the matter without a pre-sentence report.

She adjourned the case for Webb to produce £480 for restitution.

At last Wednesday’s court the Judge Kelly was informed that Webb had repaid the £480 for damage to a car he had kicked.

She imposed a conditional discharge for two years.
