Pair charged with grievous bodily harm and affray
A Lurgan man was one of two men sent for trial to Newry Crown Court charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm and causing an affray.
Clifford McConnell (41), Toberhewny Lodge, Lurgan, and Dwayne McKnight (34), Granville Gardens, Banbridge, appeared last Thursday at a preliminary enquiry at Newry courthouse.
The charges against them allege that on July 11 last year they unlawfully and maliciously caused grievous bodily harm to a male with intent to do him grievous bodily harm and on the same date they unlawfully fought and made an affray.
Both were remanded on their own bail of £500 to appear for arraignment at Newry Crown Court on October 8.
