Pair fined for insurance offences

Marta Alexandra Pinto Moreira (29), of Bluestone Hall, was fined 200, with six points, for not having insurance on October 21 and fined 75 for driving without due care and attention.

Gorquim Correia (43), of Bluestone Hall, Craigavon, was fined 250, with six points, for permitting her to drive without insurance.

The court heard that at 3pm police attended the scene of a road traffic collision on the Northway.

Moreira had collided with the rear of the vehicle in front of her and pushed it into the vehicle in front of it.

She was asked for insurance and produced a document in the name of her brother-in-law but she was not a named driver. She told police she thought she was on the insurance and it was just a mistake.
