Panel debate for outreach group event

THE next meeting of the Community Outreach Group will take place on Wednesday, December 5 in the Jethro Centre, Flush Place at 9pm.

Taking form of a question and answer session, members of the panel include Dr Dickie Barr, medical practitioner and health educator; the Rev Elizabeth Harron, retired Methodist minister; Sam Parkes, accountant and charity director; Sheila McQuaide, an Alliance councillor, and David Armstrong, former editor of the Portadown Times and journalism lecturer.

The panel will be answering questions submitted by the public on a range of economic, moral, ethical and social topics.

The meeting promises to be an interesting and stimulating evening, so do come along and show your support for this, our latest venture in our cross-community programme. Admission is free, light refreshments will be served and the meeting is open to all-comers who may be assured of a warm welcome.

Meanwhile, the annual community carol service will be held in the Jethro Centre on Thursday, December 13 at 7.45pm.
