Parade disrupted at Killymurris

The deputy Mayor of Ballymena, Cllr. James McClean was among the witnesses to an attempt to disrupt an Orange Order church parade on Sunday.

Cllr. McClean was taking part in the parade at Killymurris when the incident occurred.

He said: “A car attempted to drive through the ranks. A window in the vehicle was lowered and a tricolour was brandished. There was also shouts of ‘Orange b.....ds’ as the car drove off in the direction of Dunloy. The Order members taking part kept their discipline in the face of this provocation,” he said.
