Parents and teens to learn how to prevent NW killer

A TWELVE week programme delivering a preventive message to parents and teenagers on one of the biggest killers in the Western Health Board area - heart disease - is being rolled out across the North West.

Parents are urged to become active role models for their children, to encourage positive, healthier lifestyle choices, through increased levels of physical activity, healthy-eating lifestyles and drugs, alcohol and smoking awareness.

This month marks the last day of training for a group of newly qualified Active Families trainers who will deliver the programme.
