Parents celebrate project at fun day

PARENTS, children and staff at the Larne Parental Supporters Project have enjoyed a special day of fun at Linn Community Centre.

The event was organised by the children’s charity Action for Children to celebrate the services of Horizon Surestart Larne and the Parental Support Project.

Highlights at the fun day included a bouncy castle, face painting, holistic treatments, arts and crafts, and a prize draw. There was also advice on home safety and cancer prevention.

Larne Parental Support family worker, Karen Millar said: “Action for Children and Horizon Surestart have a very strong presence in Craigyhill and across the wider Larne area.

“We offer so many different courses and programmes, including breast feeding support, infant massage, baby yoga and baby art. There is also our dad’s group, teen mums group and the two-year-old programme, so there really is something for everyone.”
