Park and ride space increase welcomed

North Antrim DUP Assembly Member Mervyn Storey has welcomed news from Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy MLA that Translink plan to extend park and ride facilities at Ballymoney Railway Station, and aim to provide up to an additional 46 spaces. Following on from an answer to an Assembly question tabled by the North Antrim Member.

Mr Storey commented: “I am pleased that the travelling public will now see the total number of parking spaces at the station increase to 105. This is all subject to the completion of an economic appraisal; however, the Minister said in his response that he did not anticipate any delay to the scheme.”

“There has been a tremendous increase in the number of passengers using the train and this increase in parking facilities will be a great assistance.”
