A quiet and unassuming man, he was happy with the simple things in life and cherished every moment he spent with his family and friends.

He was very quick-witted and funny, an attribute he passed on to his children.

An electrician by trade, it was not uncommon for Ronnie to leave his home at all hours of the day or night should someone be in need.

He will be sadly missed by his family and remembered with fondness by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his dearly loved and sorrowing wife Pearl, much loved children John, Mervyn, Raymond, Ann, Jill, Julie, Kyle and Graham, their wives and partners, 10 grandchildren, siblings Wilson, John and Maureen, brother and sister-in-law Joyce and Alister, nieces, nephews and a wide family circle.

A short service in the home followed by a funeral service in Rathfriland Elim Church at 2pm on Sunday, 21 February, which was widely attended. Officiating clergy were Pastor Sam McClurg and Pastor J. Harris, who paid a fitting tribute. Interment followed at Elim burial ground, Drumlough.

Funeral arrangements were by R.J.G. Bullick. Donations in lieu of flowers will go to Rathfriland Elim Church Building Fund and Chest, Heart and Stroke.

In God’s care you rest above, In our hearts you rest with love.
