Following a successful event in 2014, the beautiful National Trust property in Moneymore will once again host a fun-filled day of culture and craic for all the family!

The Armagh Rhymers will provide a unique musical experience throughout the afternoon by roaming around the estate. Their style is deeply rooted in the old Irish Mumming traditions and they are easily recognised by their willow masks. The fun doesn’t stop there; visitors can experience the bygone art of traditional bread making and children can take part in shamrock crafts.

One of the many highlights of the day will be the fantastic Shamrock Trail. Follow the Springhill leprechauns, Barney and Biddy as they make their way around Springhill estate. Follow them along the trail to find the real pot of gold! Watch out as they can be quite mischievous along the way.

Springhill House will also be open following its deep winter clean - take a tour of the 17th Century plantation home to hear more about ten generations of the Lenox-Conyngham family who lived there. Visit the costume exhibition ‘Masters of Springhill’ which takes a closer look at almost three hundred years of the Lenox-Conyngham family history.

The Servants’ Hall Tea Room will be open for refreshments, as will the Well-Read Bookshop, packed with hundreds of second-hand books. Browse through the retail area, full of handpicked items for you, your home and garden.

Explore Springhill’s exciting natural play area or enjoy a rejuvenating walk around the estate where spring flowers and nature is coming to life. Springhill is just 10 minutes from Cookstown so come along and experience something different with the family this St. Patrick’s weekend!
