They arrived to a warm welcome in the southern Ireland community and were treated to a well-deserved barbecue.

Organiser Peter's brother Liam lives in Glencraig. The Camphill Communities operate in countries around the world offering opportunities for people with learning disabilities and special needs somewhere to live and work with others in an atmosphere of mutual care and respect.

Peter had set a target of 2,000 for the challenge and was amazed with they handed over 6,106.65 to the charitable organisation.

He said: "It was an incredible feat for all concerned, we got great weather for the three-day cycle, aside from a bit of rain, but it was fantastic.
