Pensioner caught in fire
A 71-YEAR-old man was given oxygen treatment by firefighters after a fire in the kitchen of a terrace house in Juniper Court in Twinbrook around 3pm on Sunday. An actuating smoke alarm had alerted the occupier to the danger and the fire was extinguished on arrival.
Then on Friday, around 2pm a smoke alarm alerted the occupants of a terrace house in Colinvale, Poleglass to a chip pan on fire in the kitchen. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus dealt with the incident.
