“It does appear that a short distance away on the Victoria Road there are works being carried out on the footpath. Residents have confirmed that a group of young people were playing with the plastic barriers and cones at approximately 9.30pm.

“I believe the cone used was from this area, but nothing has been captured on any CCTV in the immediate area that I have been able to check.”

They added: “I am appealing for any information that may identify the suspect.

“The victim just wants to offer the suspect the opportunity to apologise and pay for the damage.

“It doesn’t surprise me as after only speaking to her for a short time it’s obvious she truly is a lady that cares about her community and those within it. I ask you to help us help her.”
