Pensioner who crashed into police car on M1, dies in hospital
An 84-year-old man who crashed into a police car after driving the wrong way on the M1, has died.
The pensioner’s Volkswagen Polo car struck a stationary police car between the Lurgan and Moira junctions in the early hours of Monday morning.
A police officer was injured and taken to hospital.
The Police Ombudsman is investigating the incident.
