Pentagon security alert was elaborate hoax
THE Security alert at the Pentagon in Ballymena that caused traffic chaos for commuters has now ended.
Army Technical Officers carried out a number of controlled explosions at the scene and have declared the device an elaborate hoax.
Diversions had been in place at Cullybackey Road, North Road and the Ballymoney Road carpark which caused major problems during the morning rush hour.
Bus services in the area were also severely disrupted.
Police have now confirmed that all roads have been re-opened.
