‘People deserve change for better’ says election candidate

Maureen Litter, who will contest the local government elections for the new Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Council, has said that local people are tired of political failures and now deserve change for the better.

Mrs Litter said: “I, like so many other people, am tired of the failures of our largest political parties. They have promised so much but delivered so little for the people who put their faith in them. That’s why I’m standing in the Lagan River DEA of the new Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Council elections on May 22.”

She added: “As a mother, I refuse to stand by and watch as the hopes and ambitions of my son are crushed by those who lack the vision to bring new opportunities for our young people.

“As a small business owner, I have experienced first-hand the difficulties of the economic downturn and I, too, have been let down by the listless response of the Executive.

“It’s becoming clearer and clearer that other parties lack the ambition, the conviction and the ability to deliver for our community. I hope to offer an alternative on May 22.”
