‘People need to be vigilant’ - McLean
MAGHERAFELT DUP Councillor Paul McLean has warned local people to be vigilant “as we are seeing” a major increase in theft and burglaries within the district.
“Over the past number of weeks our local PSNI officers have been instrumental in apprehending and stopping a number of passing criminals from carrying out various crimes,” he said.
“It seems that this latest spate is targeted towards vacant properties and isolated buildings where farm machinery etc is stored. Therefore we need to be good neighbours and if we see anything that doesn’t seem right we need to report this to the PSNI immediately.”.
