Featuring an eclectic mix of musicians of all calibres, Northern Ireland is home to classical pianists, country rockers, multi-award winning blues stars and even famous TikTokers.
In a country featuring a little something for everyone, check out these 13 up and coming Northern Irish music artists to watch out for:
13. Susi Pagel
Carrickfergus-based Susi Pagel is a self-titled hyper pop princess who has been showcasing her musical ability since 2017. Since the release of her debut single ‘Yesterday’, Susi has maintained a steady online fan base that has only continued to grow and has even been championed by BBC’s Gemma Bradley.
With a sound that has been compared to that of Melanie Martinez, Susi’s music continues to display relatable and heartfelt lyrics that work in conjunction with addictive, dreamlike backing tracks.
As a runner up for ChordBlossom’s Kickstart 2022, Susi was invited to record and produce her latest single, ‘Shadow’s, with George Sloan at Half Bap Studios; and continues to perform at gigs and venues across Belfast.

14. Travi The Native
Travis Gilbert, also known as Travi The Native, made his debut on Northern Ireland’s music scene in Spring 2020 with the release of ‘Heavy Love’. Although with a love for music that goes beyond the last few years, Travis attended writing camps alongside Sam Fender and Artful Dodger.
European tours and features from Love Island Germany brought Travis a strong fan base throughout Europe, with his credibility and versatility evident as his alt-pop sound incorporates electro and hip hop influences.
Although maintaining a ‘new-kid-on-the-block’ appearance, Travis’ talents have been localised as he opened for Ryan McMullan at Custom House Square in August 2022 as well as playing shows in Belfast and Dublin.
