Are you concerned about litter across Northern Ireland, in rural areas and on our beautiful beaches and coastline?

Litter picking and beach clean groups are on a mission to clean up our landscape and getting involved is a great way to enjoy some fresh air while doing your bid for the environment.

Here are five litter picking and beach clean groups across Northern Ireland you should check out.

Whitehead Wombles are a small group who are attempting to provide a solution to the litter problem within the streets of the coastal and educate people on the detrimental effects of littering. The group has a small number of members at current but are committed to keeping the level of litter in the area to a minimum, and have previously won an award for their coastal care work.
