We’ve compiled this list of family-friendly activities taking place across east Antrim and neighbouring Belfast to help try and make the half-term break more enjoyable.

5. Extinction Explorers
Extinction Explorers is a free, family friendly tour of the nature galleries at the Ulster Museum, taking place on February 15 from 2pm until 3.30pm. You'll travel through time and search for signs of species long extinct, then track animals that still exist in the wild and create your own species to take home. 6. Kids Abstract Art Workshop
The Kids Abstract Art Workshop will be taking place at 2 Royal Avenue on February 17 from 11am to noon. This is a chance to learn about the making of abstract art through demonstrations and guidance from artists. Booking is required via the Visit Belfast website. Admission is £10. Photo: Visit Belfast
7. Wee Critters at Carrick Castle
Join Allan the Explorer, from Thursday, February 15 to Saturday, February 17, as he takes you and your little explorers on a wild adventure and introduces you to his amazing animal friends along the way.
