AJ Power receives King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade

Craigavon based business AJ Power has been awarded a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.

The award was presented at a special reception hosted by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council in the Palace Building Armagh.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the UK being first established in 1965 by the Late Queen Elizabeth II.

AJ Power is a globally recognised company specialising in power solutions with an office in Dubai and a subsidiary in South Africa. Its products are in operation in over 100 countries, from mobile telephone networks in the Andes, airports in Scandinavia, banks in Africa and hospitals in New Zealand.

Following a welcome by the Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Councillor Sarah Duffy, the Lord Lieutenant for County Armagh, the Rt Hon the Earl of Caledon KCVO JP was present on behalf of His Majesty to present the award to chairman and managing director Mr Ashley Pigott OBE in the presence of his directors and representatives from the staff of AJ Power.
