All the joy of Garden Show Ireland’s opening day at Antrim Castle in 29 photos

Celebrity designer Diarmuid Gavin said Garden Show Ireland is his favourite weekend of the year and it would appear many people share his view.

Garden lovers were out in force at the sunny Antrim Castle Gardens on Friday, June 14, for day one of a three-day celebration of plants, flowers, food and so much more.

Diarmuid, ambassador for the show and TV presenter Pamela Pamela Ballantine MBE were among the familiar faces taking part in the ever-popular event.

Here’s a flavour of Friday’s programme in 29 photos.
