Antrim Area Hospital under ‘sustained pressure’
The Northern Health and Social Care Trust has issued an appeal on social media this evening (Tuesday) due to the high levels of patients waiting to be admitted to Antrim Area Hospital.

Commenting on Facebook, a spokesperson for the Trust said: “Antrim Area Hospital is experiencing sustained pressure tonight with over 100 in the Emergency Department.️
“There are 50 very ill patients awaiting admission to a ward, therefore, if you can help to reduce the pressure by assisting with discharges it would be greatly appreciated.
“Please only attend if your condition is urgent or life-threatening.”
