Baby Arthur is ‘best Christmas present’ for Larne mum

A Larne woman has spoken of her joy after giving birth to her son on Christmas Day.

Arthur Kenneth McVicker was born at 4.24pm on Friday, December 25.

The new arrival was born at Antrim Area Hospital, weighing 8lbs 9.

Speaking to the Times, Arthur’s mother Elizabeth Finlay, who lives in the east Antrim town with her partner Colin McVicker, said: “My due date with Arthur was Christmas Eve. Giving birth on Christmas Day feels extra memorable and very special. It is just the best Christmas present.

“I named Arthur after his grandfather Arthur Finlay, who is my father. His full name is Arthur Kenneth McVicker. Kenneth is the name of his other grandfather.”

Arthur was welcomed home by his big sister Olivia (4).
