Ballyclare Comrades remember ‘great servant’

Relatives of Drew Horner were welcomed to Dixon Park by the current committee and management team of Ballyclare Comrades to remember Mr Horner.

Drew, who passed away on August 9 2019, was the dearly-loved husband of Brenda, much-loved father of David and Gillian, father-in-law of Mark and loving grandfather of Ryan, Rachel and Scott.

Posting on social media on Wednesday, September 9, a spokesperson for the NIFL Championship club said: “Tonight we honoured Drew Horner who passed away last year.

“Committee man Drew operated our turnstiles for many years and we thought it fitting to name the turnstile he sat in for so long after him.

“His family helped unveil the plaque in memory of a great servant of the club.”
