The 100ft silo is currently located at the Weber factory, a manufacturer of easy-to-apply products in the facades, construction mortars, flooring systems and tile fixing markets.

Commenting on social media today, a spokesperson for Weber UK said: “We are making way for more storage at our Northern Ireland site, removing a 100ft unused silo which towers over SW Ballyclare.

“The silo is being carefully dismantled so it can be reused. The skyline of Ballyclare might look a little different soon!”
