Staff, tenants and friends of those at the supported living scheme on Taylor's Avenue were inspired to craft the teddies after hearing about the increase in incidents of domestic violence during lockdown.

A post on the Facebook page for Barn Halt Cottages read: "As we are all aware with the current lockdown situation unfortunately we have heard in the news and read in the papers regarding the increase in domestic abuse. Staff, tenants and friends of BHC felt we wanted to support the children of those in this position, so we got the knitters together and knitted 52 Trauma Teddies.
