Brian is thrilled by book’s success

LOCAL wordsmith Brian Johnston, who published a book of humorous stories, poems and limericks earlier this year, is thrilled at the success of his publication.

The book has been such a success that he has just taken delivery of a further 1,000 copies, which are on sale now.

The money raised through the sale of the book is going to Marie Curie Cancer Care, who are delighted to have benefited from Brian’s creativity.

“Feedback from the book has been tremendous, and many people have written, emailed or telephoned me to say what pleasure it has given to them and/or people whom they have sent it to,” said Brian. “I have also been told that the book has been sent to friends and relations all over the world. Alf McCreary, who wrote the Foreword for the book, has also expressed his delight at its success.

“I am so appreciative of all those kind folk who have already purchased a copy and by doing so have supported this worthy charity.

“The book, which is selling at £5, would make an ideal Christmas gift or stocking filler,” he added.

Brian’s book ‘Humorous Stories, Poems and Limericks’ is on sale now from all Marie Curie shops, Carlisle’s Fresh Food Supermarket in Ballynahinch, Sam Robinson Business & Printing Systems in Lisburn, Lesley Price’s Bookshop in Dromore and Jacksons in Saintfield.
