Chris Kelly recently returned to the town after working for a number of high-end restaurants in London, including The Goring Hotel.

The 22-year-old has since been working alongside youth organisation Carrick Connect to deliver 'Cook-tastic'.

The project aims to teach young people skills vital to the catering and hospitality industry.

Cook-tastic was due to culminate with pop-up restaurant The Bucky Gelder in May, with all proceeds from the event going towards the work of Carrick Connect.

However, with the pop-up now postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, the young chef has found the ideal way to keep busy and share his skills in the process.

"I've been doing the demos for two weeks now and the feedback has been great," he said.

"I'm trying to use ingredients people might have in their houses already to make local favourites, like sticky salt and chilli chicken and homemade sausage rolls."

The videos have proved an online hit, with more than 4000 views across the three recipes posted so far.
