Carrick game postponed for second time

The game had been due to be played at the Q Radio Arena last night, but was called off following a pitch inspection.

The match was re-arranged for tonight, but was called off for the second time following a pitch inspection at 3pm today (Wednesday).

Confirming the move on social media, a spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Football Leaghue (NIFL) said: “The match between Warrenpoint and Carrick Rangers in the re-scheduled Danske Bank Premiership game from last night is off following a pitch inspection this afternoon.”

A new date for the fixture is still to be announced.

Earlier this week the Times reported that Cathair Friel had joined Carrick Rangers on a permanent deal until the end of the season.
