Members of the Dixon Park team collected the money among themselves to aid the charitable organisation during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The foodbank is open every Thursday at Ballyclare Presbyterian Church Hall, 2.30pm-5pm. There is also a food donation point beside the checkouts in Asda Ballyclare for anyone wishing to donate.

The service provides emergency food for those struggling financially. It is run by a group of churches throughout the Newtownabbey area in partnership with the Trussell Trust.

For more information, check out the Newtownabbey Foodbank Facebook page.
