Coronavirus: Gleno business to reopen after deep clean

A farm shop and butcher’s in Gleno will be reopening tomorrow (Tuesday) following a period of closure due to a positive Covid-19 case.

The Dairy will be reopening its butcher’s department and farm shop. Both will now be open 10am-4pm daily.

Management at the Waterfall Road-based business took the decision to close after an employee received a positive diagnosis earlier this month.

Posting on social media on October 13, a spokesperson said: “We regret to say that a member of staff at The Dairy has tested positive this morning for Covid-19.

Covid.Covid.
Covid.

“So while we make sure that we take every necessary precaution, we will be closing until further notice.”

Providing an update on Facebook today, a spokesperson for the business said: “We have undertaken a deep clean and have used a fogging machine throughout the premises.

“This will become a part of our regular routine going forward and we would appreciate if you could help us to prioritise customer and staff safety by wearing a mask when on the premises.

“Thank you for your understanding and patience over the last couple of weeks. We really appreciate it and are looking forward to welcoming you back in store.

“We will be putting a plan in place for takeaway coffee in the coming week and as such these revised opening hours may be liable to change. Be sure to follow our pages for any further updates. Take care and see you soon!”
