Coronavirus: McDonald’s to remain open for Drive-Thru and McDelivery

The Northern Ireland Executive last night (Tuesday) agreed a package of additional restrictions given the high levels of Covid-19 transmission in the community.
An order for people to stay at home - to stop the spread of Covid-19 - will become legally enforceable from Friday.

Hide AdThis means that people can only leave home for medical or food needs, exercise and work that cannot be done from home.


Confirming McDonald’s will still be operating during the restrictions, Paul Pomroy, Chief Executive, McDonald’s UK and Ireland said: “Following the latest Government announcements, our restaurants will remain open for Drive-Thru and McDelivery services and Click and Serve for Drive-Thru, which is available via the My McDonald’s app.
“Our dine-in and walk-in takeaway services will be temporarily unavailable while we take time to review and reassess our safety procedures with an independent health and safety body.
“This is a temporary change in our operations to allow us to test and validate any additional measures that may further enhance the safety of our takeaway service.
