Coronavirus: Whitehead man starting to recover

The man, who is a member of Whitehead Presbyterian Church, tested positive for the illness on March 12.

A number of events at the Kings Road church were cancelled following news that the man had the coronavirus, including Saturday’s Dad Time session and Friday Lunches.

Confirming the man’s health was improving, a spokesperson for the church said: “I am glad to say that the gentleman in our church with coronavirus has begun to recover and he is feeling a bit better.

“He plans to continue to self isolate for another couple of weeks to be in the safe side. His wife has still not been infected. He is very grateful for the support and prayers from everyone. Thanks again for your concern.”
