Death toll rises to 1,953 as infection rate remains low with 275 new cases

Another 10 people have died after testing positive for COVID-19, the Department of Health have revealed.

Six died within the last 24 hours and another four outside that time period.

That means that 1,953 people have now died in NI with COVID-19, according to the DoH.

Another 275 people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

And in the last seven days that number rises to 2,685.

There are now 579 patients with confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our hospitals - and 60 of those battling the virus in ICU.

There are now 90 active cases of COVID-19 in NI Care Homes.

The dashboard also confirms that NI hospitals are running at 96% occupancy.
