Mr Bryars, who sits on the Brownstown Super Cup Organising Committee, revealed the tournament will bring together talented young footballers from across the area for a day of competitive football, teamwork and community spirit.

There’s even a barbeque organised for hungry players and supporters after the event.

"We are aiming to have eight teams taking part, with the possibility of additional teams joining the competition,” he revealed.

"Last year's winners, Edgarstown Residents Association, will be hoping to defend their title against strong opposition from across the local area.

"This year, I am also introducing a Brownstown Super Cup Shield competition. The addition of the shield will ensure more competitive matches throughout the day and give even more teams the opportunity to compete for silverware.

"As well as providing an exciting day of football, the Brownstown Super Cup aims to promote positive mental health, wellbeing and social connection among young people. The event encourages participants to stay active, build confidence, develop friendships and enjoy being part of a team environment.

"Last year's tournament received excellent support from local MLAs and MPs, whose attendance helped make the event a great success. We hope to receive the same strong support from our elected representatives again this year as we continue to provide positive opportunities for local young people,” said Kingston.

The tournament is expected to attract players, coaches, families and supporters for what promises to be a fantastic day of football and community involvement.

"We would also like to thank Next Move Property Sales for their generous sponsorship of the pitch hire. Their support has played an important role in helping us organise and deliver this event for local young people.”
