Dozens of pupils sent home after positive COVID test at NI college

It is understood around 53 pupils were sent home from Lurgan College on Wednesday - just days after returning back to school this week.

Hide AdSome pupils and parents voiced disappointment that they had to go home so soon after getting back to school on Monday.
Principal Trevor Robinson said: “I can confirm that a member of our school community tested positive for Covid-19.
“I have assured parents that I have sought and followed the most up-to-date advice from the Public Health Agency (PHA).

“Ensuring the safety of pupils and staff remains the school’s absolute priority.”
