DUP MP’s office closed after Covid-19 case identified

South Antrim MP Paul Girvan has announced his office is closed for two weeks after a positive coronavirus case was identified.

Posting on social media last night (Tuesday, September 8), Mr Girvan said: “This evening I have been informed of a case of Covid-19 which affects my office in Ballyclare.

“The safety of my staff and the public who visit my office is of the utmost importance to me and I have taken the decision to close my office until September 21.

“I and my office staff will be engaging with track-and-trace services over the next few days. Unfortunately all engagements in the office and in the constituency will be cancelled and I will be in touch with those scheduled to meet soon to arrange a new meeting appointment.”
