Glenn laid to rest this morning

A young Craigavon man who passed away suddenly while abroad will be laid to rest today (Friday, July 17).

Glenn McKeown passed away on Thursday (July 10) while on a trip to Amsterdam.

Its the second tragedy to hit the family as his brother Declan had passed away suddenly in November 2015.

Glenn Peter McKeown was the beloved son of Margo and Sean and devoted brother of Patrick and the late Declan, dear brother-in-law to Joanne, a much loved uncle and nephew and loving boyfriend of Rachel.

The funeral will take from his Pinebank home this morning to arrive at St Anthony’s Church for 11.30am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St John’s Cemetery, Lylo.

A family death notice stated: “Always remembered by his sorrowing parents, brother, sister-in-law, uncles, aunts, nephew, nieces, his girlfriend and friends.

“Family flowers only please, with donations in lieu if desired to, The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, c/o McAlinden & Murtagh Funeral Directors, 2 North Street, Lurgan or in the donation box in the home.

“In accordance with current Covid-19 guidelines the wake and funeral will be private gatherings for immediate family and close friends.”
