The school community has extended thanks to everyone who supported the successful P6/7 event on Friday.
"We are absolutely delighted to announce that, thanks to the generosity of our pupils, families, staff, governors, friends and members of the wider community, an amazing £1,526.06 was raised. This is a truly significant contribution to such a worthwhile cause and far exceeded our expectations,” a school spokesperson said.
"The school was buzzing with visitors throughout the morning, creating a wonderful atmosphere of community, kindness and support. It was fantastic to see so many people come together to enjoy a cup of tea, delicious treats and good company, all while helping to make a difference for local children and families who rely on the invaluable services provided by Northern Ireland Children's Hospice.
"One of the key aspirations within our school vision is for Richmount Primary School to be at the centre of the community. The coffee morning brought that vision to life as pupils, parents, governors, staff, friends of the school and members of the wider community came together to support such an important cause.
"A special thank you must go to our P6/7 pupils, who worked incredibly hard in preparing for the event. From creating promotional materials and helping with organisation to welcoming guests and serving refreshments, they represented our school superbly and demonstrated our values of Kindness, Community, Respect and Growth in action.”
