5. Book sales help worthy causes
Lord Mayor, Councillor Paul Greenfield with Norah McCorry who made two donations of £250 to the Lord Mayor’s charities, raised through sales of the poetry and songbook Heart and Soul of the Montiaghs, by herself and Paul Carville. Included is David Weir from Lurgan Townscape Heritage. David funded the publication of the book under the Lurgan Townscape Heritage Scheme, and so far around £5,000 has been raised through sales of the book with donations being made to various charities and good causes in the local area. 6. Jog raises charity funds
St. Paul's Gaelic Football Club has once again demonstrated their support for PIPS Hope and Support by generously donating £820 to the charity's fundraising, marketing, and communications manager, Padraig Harte. The club's young players presented the donation, which was the result of a successful January Jog event held at Craigavon Lakes. The event was attended by numerous members and supporters of the club, making it a resounding success. 8. Hitting the right note for good causes
Cantare Ladies Choir members present a cheque for £500 to Southern Area Hospice Services. This was part of their donations received when they presented ‘From Waiting for a King to Following a Star’ in Seagoe Parish Church last December. This was a non-ticket event and all proceeds from voluntary donations were distributed to the Southern
