Former unionist councillor and Ballyclare Comrades supporter, David Arthurs said: “Gutted to hear the news of the passing of a wee gentleman and a true friend in Jack Galbraith.

"Jackie, any time I was with you, I enjoyed your stories and your banter, whether it was hearing of your trips away with the Glens in Europe, or in recent times at Dixon Park when I got to a game.

"I spoke to you briefly on Saturday and although it was short and sweet, I am so glad I had that five minutes with you. Jackie, thanks for the friendship and the banter. You will be missed.”
